Since moving to San Diego in 2021 I’ve become a Master Scuba Diver, Wave I certified Freediver, and a Spearfisherman. I enjoy checking up on the kelp forest in La Jolla Cove, Diving deep at La Jolla Shores, or going lobster diving after sundown.
I have a passion for shooting underwater and aerial videos. I started flying drones in 2020 and started filming dives in 2022. Between flying and diving I've worked everything from cold-water kelp off the San Diego coast to reefs and cenotes in Cabo, Cancun, Tulum, and Aruba. Underwater I shoot 4K video behind a pair of 15,000-lumen lights - these lights truly turn night into day. In the air I film 6K raw footage (log-m or log) on a DJI Mavic 4 Pro. The finished dive videos go up on my YouTube channel, Scuba Adventures With Kyle, which has grown to about 1,200 subscribers. I have 160+ logged dives, and hold certifications in deep, night, rescue, mixed-gas, and navigation diving. Stills on land are captured using a Nikon Z6III or D3500 as backup. My favorite lens to use is a telephoto lens because it produces unique images when the background is significantly further than the subject due to the compression effect.
My on-land passion is capturing cherished moments among friends and family. Social events, celebrations, family gatherings, and weddings - if people are enjoying life, I'm there to make sure the memories are preserved.
